What’s the process if we want to talk about building a new home?

We believe that all great relationships start with a good coffee and evolve from here. The first meeting is a no obligation, relaxed discussion over a coffee. It is designed for you to get to know both Michael and myself and our approach and style to coastal building. It is also a chance for us to get a feel for all those dreams and aspirations you have for your new home. There is no cost for this initial meeting, and no obligation to proceed past the initial discussion.

From here, if you would like to take your new home dream and turn it into a reality, a second more formal meeting is held, where you discuss the detail around what you are looking to achieve and we ascertain if a Building or Planning Permit is needed. As a result of this discussion you receive a sketch plan of your new home.

Most people like to make a few changes at this point, and after a week or so come back with some revisions to the sketch plan and discuss possible options given their specific budget. Once you are satisfied with the sketch plan we proceed with site elevations, rescode analysis, working drawings, energy rating, soil test, engineering, colour consultation and property information from Council. A balance payment is required at this stage unless a Planning Permit is required. It is here that your coastal dream really starts to take shape.

Hopefully this has given you an insight into how you can start the ball rolling. If you would like further detail or specifics around how the entire building process works (from the initial meeting to the handover of the keys), please contact us and we will forward you through our Building Process Guidelines that highlights in detail each stage of the building process.
